Miniskirts may be the obvious choice when mercury rises, but personally I've always been a proponent of the longer, shin-grazing midi skirt. Not only do they remind me of Audrey Hepburn lounging coquettishly on the Spanish steps in Roman Holiday, but they're also appropriate for the office and incredibly forgiving if you've failed to start working on your summer tan. FIRST LOOK: Target Collaborating With Phillip Lim For Fall! Target just announced their latest collaboration… with designer Phillip Lim! And while some of their more recent collabs have received a lukewarm response from customers and editors alike, Lim’s legitimacy within the fashion world has everyone riled up. As Racked pointed out this morning, the line ”revives collab excitement,” after a downward trend in the public’s interest in high-low collections. According Target’s blog, 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target will include 100+ pieces ranging from bags to shoes to travel accessories and men’s and women’s apparel.
