Kenzo x Vans Collaboration

Reds
Contrary to popular belief, a leopard can change his spots--or at least make them brighter, as evidenced by Kenzo’s fourth and latest shoe collaboration with Vans. The collection is made up of six classic styles punched up with an oversized animal print, called the Clouded Leopard, which Creative Directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim also used in Kenzo’s S/S 13 collection. The design duo’s supercharged pattern--in electric colors like ochre, orange, blue, and green--was inspired by their travels to the jungles in Thailand, and gives Vans’ street sneakers a modern and fashion-forward twist. Among our favorites? Starting clockwise from the top, the Authentic Sneakers ($125) in Kenzo Leopard Flame/Pool Green, Classic Slip-Ons ($125) in Kenzo Leopard Nutria/Spectrum Blue, Authentic Sneakers ($125) in Kenzo Leopard Pool Green/Flame, and Authentic Sneakers ($125) in Kenzo Leopard Peacoat/Spectrum Blue. Wear these kicks…

Bad News for Target?

Reds
Only 3 Items From The Kate Young x Target Collection Are Sold Out–Bad Sign? I’ve been lusting after the Kate Young for Target collection ever since the lookbook hit last month. Well, the collection finally arrived yesterday and it has me wishing I could go to prom all over again (something I thought I’d never say). The celebrity stylist’s collection features formal dresses and separates that look expensive, but won’t break your budget. The apparel ranges in price from $29.99 to $89.99, and jewelry, handbags and shoes from $14.99 to $49.99. But it looks like I may be one of the few people with a long Kate Young x Target shopping list. As of 1pm EST Monday afternoon, only three of the Kate Young x Target clothing items were sold out online and all of the shoes and handbags are…

Fancy Pants

Reds
Surely you’ve seen loads of side-stripe pants by now, but today we have a different iteration with more universal appeal—the tuxedo stripe. If you’re asking yourself what's the difference between the sporty stripe and the tuxedo stripe, think of it this way: the latter is menswear-inspired and takes cues from formal attire rather than the soccer field. Easier to wear than the season’s printed jeans, tuxedo-stripe pants offer a simple way to update your everyday mix. Even better, the trend translates seamlessly for the office (with tailored trouser versions a la Miranda Kerr) and the weekend (with casual denim styles as seen on Cara Delevingne), giving you plenty of ways to wear the look. On The Runway While Reed Krakoff served up a large helping of athletic-inspired silhouettes at his S/S 13…

Show Stopping Statement Suits

Reds
Try saying that 5 times fast!! The women’s pantsuit has come a long way since Yves Saint Laurent designed the first of its kind, the infamous Le Smoking tuxedo suit, in 1966. Since then the matching separates have been reimagined with modern silhouettes, bright hues, and interesting fabrics, making it a trend we never tire of. While we love our tried-and-true monochrome versions, we’re eager to experiment with more exciting styles too, like the printed suit. A favorite of sartorial risk-takers, including Anna Dello Russo, Rita Ora, and Solange Knowles, this standout look is a surefire way to amp up your standard weekday repertoire and makes a serious style statement on and off the clock. On The Runway Go bold or go home—that’s what we imagine Iceberg designer Paolo Gernai…

White is the new Black

Reds
The little black dress may be the epitome of classic sophistication, but lately we're more interested in its modern counterpart—the little white dress. With streamlined silhouettes and interesting embellishments, a white cocktail frock makes a definitive statement without being flashy (like you'd get with red or brights) or boring (other neutrals like gray are chic, but don't stand out the same way). We love the way fashion-forward ladies like Zoe Saldana and Naomi Watts are currently wearing this key piece, and think you’ll find their choices inspiring too. Read on for all of today’s outfit details and shop similar styles to get the look now. On The Runway Nothing makes us want to fill up our evening social calendar quite like Prabal Gurung’s Ice White Silk Cloque Drop Waist Dress with…

Style Tips for Spring

Reds
Just like clockwork, every spring the stripe returns to the spotlight, but this season’s play on the motif is bigger and bolder than ever. The look is a sophisticated nod to ‘60s-inspired style, and we’ve noticed several fashionphiles earning their stripes in a way that’s easy to replicate. From Nicole Richie’s graphic dress to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s striking jumpsuit, continue reading to see how these stylish girls wear bold stripes, then shop the look today. On The Runways Striped patterns dominated the season’s runways, particularly at Marc Jacobs’ S/S 13 show. The designer’s collection channeled a decidedly mod mood: thick parallel stripes covered everything from atailored blazer to a slim skirt and the Black And Ivory Silk Jersey Dress ($1900, 212.343.1490), paired with Black Patent Leather Mary Jane Flats ($625, 212.343.1490). Yet the look remained modern…

A Lil Leather Never Hurt Nobody

Reds
Slim leather leggings will always be a mainstay in cool girls’ stylish wardrobes, but this season, it's all about another runway favorite—the baggy leather trouser. These low-slung, slouchy pants are more menswear-chic than their skinny rock ‘n’ roll counterparts and are becoming increasingly popular among fashion insiders and well-dressed celebs alike. We find them completely desirable too, as they offer the perfect blend of androgyny and understated sex appeal. For tips on how to wear this spring essential and to shop the season’s best styles, don’t miss today’s Trend Report. On The Runways At Balmain, designer Olivier Rousteing showed his version of the baggy leather trouser—a high-waisted pant with front-pleat details and a cuffed hem—which perfectly embodied the collection’s Miami-in-the-'80s theme. Paired here with the Yellow Short-Sleeved Cropped Top Embroidered with…
