#NoWaistNovember

Neutrals
I haven't posted anything fitness related in a while, but those of you who follow me on IG know I've been keeping it up (yay me!!). I must admit I feel better than I have in a very long time & I'm definitely gonna continue this fitness thing! I know a thing guys (& some girls, yuck) do in November is "No Shave November" to prepare for the cold weather. Another thing people do in the winter is pack on the pounds. Now I get it, the stuff your face holidays are during this time but since when did gorging yourself for 2 days equal gaining 10 pounds in 2 months? Well if you're on your fitness tip & are silently dreading the cold like me, I'm here to help…

Fall is one of those funny transitioning seasons when it can be tricky to find something to wear. It's even harder if you already feel you're like my friend Brittany & "can't dress" (her words, not mine). I teamed up with my best fashion friend Alaina & Rumor Boutique in Macon to style Brittany for several fall night scenarios. Check it out! [youtube http://youtu.be/ko3YgKqn6l4] Some of the items we had to coax Brittany into but that's okay! You never know what styles you will & wont like until you step out of the box and try something new! Thanks again Alaina & Rumor Boutique!! Rumor Boutique is located in the Plato Shopping Plaza 4123 Forsyth Road Suite B, Macon, Georgia 31210, find out more info about them here.

It's Labor Day -which is ironic cause most people are doing everything but labor right now . . . lol! I'm one of the few who actually are at work today :-( Yes, complete bummer when my family is grilling, enjoying the movies or chilling poolside. *sigh* but the show must go on. But for those of you who are free today from the shackles of an 8hr shift, here are some tips I came up with to help you enjoy the holiday & any other upcoming outdoor festivities you may attend! [youtube http://youtu.be/s2iXHAGheOg] It was soooo hot outside shooting that!! But I managed to stay cute through it all! lol!

Are you afraid of heartbreak?

Pinks
contributed by Nique You may look at that question and say, “Hell yeah, who wants their heart to be broken?” Of course no one does. But I’m not asking if you LIKE your heart being broken. I’m asking if you’re afraid of it. Are you passing up guys/girls because you suspect that the only inevitable conclusion with this person is heartbreak? Are you ending relationships too quick because you think there is no way things will ever get better and a quick escape is the best escape? Are you sticking to your significant other like white on rice because you feel like as soon as you let that person out of your sight, they will surprisingly become the clumsiest person in the world and then miraculously trip and fall “into”…

Taking a Chance

Pinks
contributed by Kaydee We all know the nervous feeling we get when were close to the one we have strong feelings for. The situation can almost be nerve wrecking because of some many conflicting feelings. On one hand you really like this guy/girl but on the other hand you don’t want to get hurt. Past relationships have taught you to stay alert and guarded. To stay cold and stiff when it comes to love. Sad huh? But that is exactly the harsh reality of today’s dating scene. Somewhere down the line the guy you thought would never break your heart did exactly that. The girl that you tried so hard to make your own turned on you in a flash and now you’re screaming “These b*tches ain’t s*it”. Sad huh?…

Is your wardrobe why you’re SINGLE?

9 Summer Trends Men Hate (And How Your Wardrobe Is Keeping You Single!) We all know that men love short skirts and dresses – and thus summertime is their favorite season – but what warm weather trends do they actually despise? Sure, gladiator sandals and one-piece swimsuits are an obvious choice, but what else about this season and how women dress in it is a major turn off for men? (This story is for you single ladies out there, so please read closely! lets us peek inside the minds of men–for better or for more likely, worse!). We took a poll of SHEfinds staffers’ boyfriends, husbands, guy friends and strangers on the streets to find out what trends men hate (and more importantly – why) to get some insight. Note: the opinions expressed by chauvinists in…

Can’t go Wrong in a Maxi Dress!!

Reds
In Defense Of Maxi Dresses The other night, I met up with a guy for happy hour. I came straight from work and was wearing a maxi dress. When I met him at the restaurant, the first thing he said to me was, “You look nice…but why are you wearing a gown?” Somehow he interpreted the fact I wore a maxi dress on the date as me dressing up. I wasn’t particularly trying to impress him; I just threw on the dress because I was in a rush and it was hot outside. And, to be completely honest, I didn’t shave my legs that morning (clearly this guy didn’t have much of a chance to begin with). To me, maxis are the easiest thing to wear, but I know that maxi…

Top 10 Midi Skirts

Reds
Not too long, not too short, midi skirts are just right for the season! WWW Fashion Director Laurie Trott picks her top 10 skirts to try this summer. Miniskirts may be the obvious choice when mercury rises, but personally I've always been a proponent of the longer, shin-grazing midi skirt. Not only do they remind me of Audrey Hepburn lounging coquettishly on the Spanish steps in Roman Holiday, but they're also appropriate for the office and incredibly forgiving if you've failed to start working on your summer tan. I’m excited to see that there are so many different styles this season, and to help you shop the look, I've honed in on my top 10. Click here to shop my favorites.   **courtesy of WhoWhatWear

Fight the Frizz

Ugh–This Weather Sucks For Hair: 10 Fool-Proof Products For Fighting Frizz Sure, it’s easy to maintain perfectly styled hair in nice, cool weather. But as soon as the heat starts rising, and with it the humidity levels, our hair does too. If you’re getting bigger and bigger hair these days (and not in the intended “Texas” way), then you’re probably in need of a good anti-frizz styling product. The sweltering heat and humidity can turn even perfectly blown out hair to fro status within seconds, and then it’s virtually impossible to go backwards from there. Luckily, there are tons of hair products that will defrizz, detangle and smooth your locks instantly—there are even special frizz-fighting brushes and blow dryers too. If you’re looking for manageable summer hair, check out the slideshow…

Floral Blazers for Spring

Reds
Ask a STYLIST   What are some stylish ways to wear a floral blazer? We always love menswear-inspired blazers--from shrunken schoolboy styles to oversized options--including this season's must-tryfloral-print interpretations. Wearing thisfemmed-up jacket is easy; just follow our two styling suggestions to ensure you get it right!Styling Suggestion #1: Pair it with tailored shorts to create a summer suit. Start with shorts that are tailored, but also a little relaxed in fit. (Neutrals likewhite, camel, or light gray work, but you can also try something brighter if you're feeling daring.)
