Happy New Year! As we come into the new year of 2011, it is important to give thanks to God for allowing us to see another year.
“And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father” Colossians 3:17 NLT
Many times we forget that God has brought us through a year of ups and downs. The New Year symbolizes a new beginning for many people.
People make resolutions to save more money, lose weight, exercise more, or simply break old habits. Let us not forget to make the resolution to become closer with God.
Take time out of your busy schedule to attend church, read the Bible, and/or engage in praise and worship.
People turn to God in times of need but let’s not forget to thank him just because!
People and material things come and go, but God will always be at your side.
“If God is for us, who can ever be against us?” Romans 8:31 NLT
Open your hearts and minds and let the words of God fill you. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and relax. Leave the stress and worries of 2010 in 2010; the time to move forward is now.
