In a world where there is so much focus on appearances, more and more people are opting out of traditional diet and exercise solutions and seeking a quick fix to get the look that he/she wants. Some people desire looks that they feel cannot be achieved with diet and exercise alone. For example, when a person loses an excessive amount of weight there can be loose skin that has to be surgically tightened.
Plastic surgery was once looked at as a taboo subject, but in recent years people are becoming more open to the idea of “going under the knife”. People have their own opinions about cosmetic surgery, for the most part, and some people agree that there is nothing wrong with a few procedures here and there as long as the reasons behind the surgery are for self-fulfillment.

While most people feel as though there is nothing wrong with having cosmetic surgery, few people own up to the procedures they have done. Reality star, Nene Leakes , is among the group of people who does not have a problem discussing the elite plastic surgery procedures she has had. Leakes has admitted to having a nose job, breast augmentation, and liposuction around her waist.

Before
After

According to reports by Allure Plastic Surgery, there are several cosmetic surgery procedures but there are a few that are more popular than others. They include botox injection, breast augmentation, face-lifts, dermabrasion, tummy tuck, butt lift, and liposuction. The average price tag for cosmetic surgery depends on the area that you have the surgery, Taylor Theunissen, MD says, the experience of the physician, and the location in which the surgery takes place. (i.e. cosmetic procedures are slightly cheaper in areas that have a higher demand for the services.) Prices range from $2,000-$10,000 for one procedure.

Choosing to have cosmetic surgery is a decision that should be made after careful consideration. Whether you agree or disagree with the whole idea of having plastic surgery, I think it is safe to say that like anything else, it’s fine with moderation. A few tucks here and there has not hurt anybody. But as previously stated make sure that you are doing it for you!

  • Wow I had no idea that people were getting all these things done, some I can't even pronounce. I feel that if it makes you happy then go for it, but research first!

Plastic Surgery is ok as long as you don't go overboard and then end up putting yourself in a horrible situation or life threatenning for that matter. I would do it; hell, I'm thinking about doing at this moment. To each its own…good article boo!

  • I agree with all of you ladies and for the most part people who I speak with say the same thing. As long as you research, you are doing it for you, and you don't take it overboard then it's cool….@ Jocelyn thanks babe 🙂
