Everyday I wake up I thank God for allowing me beto here another day. If I’m up early in the morning I grab my phone a get ontwitter. I see so many people who give thanks to God for life and it amazes me!It feels good to know that so many other people begin the morning with the samepraise. I started to wonder about the other ways people praise and celebrateGod. People gather in groups to honor God or in the privacy of their own homes. When I’m out running errands or at work I see people praising God throughunique self expression such as clothing or body art. No matter what way you decide to show Godgratitude always do it with an open heart. You have to love God fully and not be afraid of what others around mightthink.
“Ascribe to the Lord, O mighty ones, ascribe to the Lordglory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship theLord in the splendor of his holiness.” Psalm 29: 1-2
Showinggratitude towards God is a sign of respect. Because he is worthy of all praisewe should give him credit for all he has done. I know we thank God for life, promotions on the job, or just plain goodnews! These are not the only times when God should be praised in our lives. Ifeel like my relationship with God is so good because I feel so comfortabletalking to him. As a child I would only see people in

Iremember when I was between 12 and 14 years old an older teen at church wassharing her relationship with God with a few of us. She told us that becomingcloser to God she began to see how he works not only in her life, but others aswell. She expressed that prayer at night before you go to sleep is great butalso throughout the day. I find myself praying in the car and even as I’mwalking into my job. It helps relieve stress and gets me through the day. Ifyou don’t believe me incorporate more time to pray in your daily life and watchGod take control. I promise the reward you will receive will be the best tocome.
Job 31: 24- 28 reads as follow:
“If I have put my trust in gold or said t pure gold, ‘youare my security, if I have rejoiced over my great wealth, the fortune my handshad gained, if I have regarded the sun in its radiance or the moon moving insplendor, so that my heart was secretly enticed and my hand offered them a kissof homage, then these also would be sins to be judged, for I would have beenunfaithful to God on high.”
Mydevotion to God will continue no matter what comes my way. My respect for Godwill remain high because of what he continues to do for me and the ones I loveand care for. I adore God and share this gratitude with you.
