“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace” Colossians 3:15 NIV
Do you ever feel like you go through life constantly scrambling around in circles? Do you find yourself feeling like you’re being pulled in a million different directions? This can take a toll on your life and also cause stress and confusion. Instead of trying to figure things out on your own or consulting people who may not have your best interest in mind, why not look to God for guidance! Here’s my testimony:
Earlier this year I felt very lost in life. I no longer felt that I was on the path in life that God desired me to be on. I became very unhappy in my current situation and did not know what to do. For weeks I could not sleep or focus on my daily work because I felt that something was missing in my life. I’m sure that many people can relate to this feeling and experience. So what do you do when you feel like you no longer know what to do with yourself? The answer is simple! You find a quiet place where you can be alone, get down on your knees, close your eyes, and begin to pray! I promise this works, as soon as I began to communicate with God, he revealed his plan for my life to me directly. I went to God and asked him to help guide me back to the place in my life where I was happy and accomplishing goals. I knew that my current situation was not part of the plan and went to God for answers. People say everything happens for a reason. I did not look my life like wasted time because the journey we take through life has already been planned for us. Instead, I felt that God introduced me to people that would guide me to my next destination in life.
“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Isaiah 30:21 NIV
I personally love this scripture from the Bible. It speaks to me in so many ways because this is what began happening to me. The same thing can happen to you too! You will begin to see that with God on your team you’re already winning. The more you begin to seek God for all the answers you become closer to him. You will begin to understand what your purpose in life is. He will work through you and with you in ways that you can only experience first hand. But in order to have this experience you must seek God. He’s always waiting for his children to come to him, he does not want us to be wanderers of the world lost and confused. That is no way to live and not the life he has planned for us.
“For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.” Psalm 48:14 NIV
I battle everyday because I realize that accepting and becoming closer to God I must cut certain things and people out of my life. I figure it’s like an audition, and you’re in control of who gets to play a part in your life. With this control you have to make harsh decisions and some people will not make the cut. For me, I choose God to star in my life and anybody who does not make the cut will be left out. Harsh words for some to take but the truth nonetheless…nobody ever said life would be easy and definitely not the decisions you have to make.
“All this also comes from the Lord Almighty, wonderful in counsel and magnificent in wisdom.” Isaiah 28:29 NIV

The article is very inspirational and insightful. Job well done…keep its up, Kaydee.
Thanks! I think it's important for people to realize that God is on our side and has been there from the beginning!
AMEN!! Girl God definitely is the star of my life! I loved that analogy because it is so true…some people just won't make the cut!
I've been there before and I feel as though I get to those points more than I should. I must say that it helps to know that Im not alone. And it helps even more to know that my way of handling it is no different from any other. God should always be the first and the last despite all problems.
